Removing all Advanced Customizer CSS doesn't work
Hi there,

If I have something in my Advanced Customizer CSS and save it, then remove all of the text from that box and save again, the editor reports that the changes have been successfully saved, and returning to the Advanced Customizer still shows an empty box for the custom CSS. However, the link to my CSS is retained in my webpage's source:

Code:
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" id="n-sherlockCSS" href="http://cdn.smugmug.com/include/css/webkit/535.11/win/user_n-sherlock-201202100008084-stretch.css">
The CSS file pointed to by the link is the CSS I had in there before I erased everything. Changing my CSS from non-empty to non-empty works just fine, it's just this specific case of erasing everything that doesn't seem to work.

You currently don't have any code in your advanced customizer.
The file you link to doesn't just contain advanced customizer code, but also what you have in your easy customizer. If you want to make changes to easy customizer customizations, you can only do that directly through the Easy customizer.

Hope this helps.

Hi there,

I pressed refresh on the file I linked to in my first post, and it then changed to be empty of anything but the EZC CSS. I still have nothing in my Advanced Customizer CSS, but the link to my CSS in the source (at http://www.sherlockphotography.org/ ) has now changed for some reason (hitting a different cache now?):

Code:
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" id="n-sherlockCSS" href="http://cdn.smugmug.com/include/css/webkit/535.11/win/user_n-sherlock-201202092322344-stretch.css">
That file is definitely non-empty, no matter how I refresh or empty my cache. My theory is that your system is selecting the newest CSS revision it has from some cache, and that saving an empty CSS field does not create an empty revision, so you continue to see the newest non-empty revision you've saved.

I see that you have a SmugMug page of your own in your signature with custom CSS, please give this same thing a go on your site and see what happens (remove every byte of your custom CSS). I'm using Google Chrome.

EDIT: Half a day later, the new CSS link now correctly contains nothing but the EZC customizations.

Yes, from what I can tell this is all working as it should. I see now that you have added back your advanced customizations.
