You have some wonderful shots here. I was able to visit puffins (a number of years back) on Machias Seal Island off the coast of Maine. It's disputed territory, claimed by both Canada and the United States. I was fascinated by the birds, and I've wanted to return ever since.

Thanks for sharing!

I haven't seen a whole lot of puffin threads, but I know I like these shots a lot - #1 and #3 in particular. Is it just me, or do puffins just not look like real birds?

Puffins I know
Unlike owls I did see and photograph Puffins in Alaska. But that was over 20 years ago, not great video, even at the time.

And your magnificent photos are of a different species, with its own special beak design.

Perhaps Puffins differ from place to place in northern lands, similar to penguins in the southern hemisphere. There are Galapagos Island penguins, and New Zealand hosts at least two other species of penguins. The penguin bonanza is of course Antarctica, where I was introduced to another four species, all living around the Antarctic Peninsula.
