Day at the Park
My attempt at using bare speedlights on a stick..
It didn't work too well and my girlfriend was quickly getting tired of posing in a park filled with families, looking over at us. I thought this shot expressed her feelings. ![]() I was having trouble getting the SB900 and SB26 to be in sync, as I tested it at home. #2 ![]() #3 ![]() This is a bit soft, but I like the softness... I think it *works* Similar pose for #2 and #3... Last edited by babowc; Aug-28-2012 at 06:29 PM. |

Shes a cutie and apparently a trooper, so hang on to her! #3 screams to me portrait crop? Maybe punch the blacks or bump contrast slightly, to bring her out of the haze a little more? Great smile, and very nice work.

I pumped up the blacks a bit more on #3 to make her pop. |

I was wondering, what do you mean by portrait crop?

Is the version of #3 now posted the one with the pumped up blacks? I certainly wouldn't go any further than it is right now? And keep it landscape crop, in my opinion. It works as is.

Yes, that was the version with more blacks. As you can tell, the black in her dress doesn't match in #2 and #3.
Oh, so does portrait crop = vertical crop? Thank you guys! I'll try another set when I get my stands and umbrellas! |

All nice but 2 is just wonderful.
She is, of course, gorgeous.
