    +1 for this

Also the quick settings menu is so narrow, I can't read the names of my settings half the time headscratch.gif

Since there is no method to delete an existing quick setting i thought i give overwrite existing quick settings a try. Looks like SM allows to keep multiple quick settings with the same name eek7.gif

Please add a delete button or overwrite exisiting settings if a setting with the same name does already exist.

This is one part that is making life hard... Really needs to have a way to edit the settings and save over the old name or allow us to delete from the list. And I also have the same issue with the names being next to useless when you can only see the first few letters.

Also, can the dialog containing the quick settings name be widened? Why is it so narrow?

Oh NO!!! They did that AGAIN ?? (made names unreadable by only seeing the first few letters??) I just love that (sarcastic), especially when there's no reason to save the space... such as when there's a bunch of available blank space. Drives ya nuts!

Yes, I'd like to see that feature also. I have many old, unusable settings and would like to get rid of most of them.

I just voted too, this problem seems pretty obvious to me & imagine it's just a matter of time before they get to it. I know this probably belongs in another forum, but I also think that we should not be limited to 12 votes, otherwise we may not be able to vote for multiple items which we think are important.

Why is this not a bug? Why do we have to request a "new" feature? The current quick setting implementation is not complete "as advertised".

    We can't delete old settings.
We can't read the names of old or new settings because the box width is too narrow.
There is no way to sort our list (an old legacy request).
There is no definitive list of what actually gets copied (again an old request, but the new help document says ALL and that's not true).

I try to change a setting and save to the same name to affect all galleries with the same name setting but it doesn't work. The save doesn't stick.
The bug with the setting of Manual Sort and Descending in the old smugmug not being allowed in new smugmug rears it's ugly head because my quick setting from the old smugmug still includes this setting.
Trying to use it causes a situation where the picture order gets all messed up again. $#%^$^*!

Also agree with others, making us beg for bug fixes by calling them features is loosing your credibility.
Nothing is getting fixed. This new smugmug is a huge time sink.

yes please!! if not delete, then rename or edit would be ok as well. i just made a mess of my quick settings trying to work out when the save portion would be effective and now i have a post-it note to remind me which of the similar named quick settings is the one i really like. yuck.

I can't believe we're... what, 2 months into New SmugMug...?... and can't even delete quick settings yet? Is this not even on the "Active Bug List"? Really...wow, some amazing "feature"!

The main use of a quick setting is so you can change a setting in one gallery and save it with the same quick setting name and all the galleries using that quick setting will be changed too.
Instead you get two quick settings with the same name and you can't delete either one of them.

Quick Settings only apply when changing a gallery or adding a new gallery using the Quick Setting. It's a one shot action.
It does not change all galleries where that Quick Settings was used/applied in the past.

That's unfortunately true, it would be nice if they did, luckily the pricelists do.

It's mind boggling that they haven't addressed this major bug yet or even chimed in that it's on their radar.

    Heya Ande,

It is on our radar. The product team has this in their hands. I noted this earlier in the thread.
