Hardware & firmware update Canon D35 (Mark II)?
Ha, ha...... nice one Dana! Hope you don't mind...... just coulden't resist!

Thought it needed either a pizza oven or microwave.... guess the latter was more appropriate otherwise we'd have a meltdown!

The LCD doubles for TV viewer as well!

Wonderful camera..... the all new D35 Mark II.

    Cheers to all.

NOTE! In other un-related news, some pics of the real 30D, possibly, are leaked and shown on DPR. Horrible cell phone picture quality, but it seems to be just another "scheduled" leak by Canon that doesn't do us much good at all other than spike our curiosity...

I need to see a spec for that "Adams Mode" at the bottom left.

It's an Ansel Adams emulator, right?

Rumors of this have been floating around the net for the past month or more. It's a true technological breakthrough. It's rumored to be the Canon Q1 and can capture images of events either before or after they occur. This allows photographers, for example, to reshoot after the fact to compensate for a missed opportunity. It also allows them to practice for an upcomming event.

Exact specs are closely guarded in advance of release. (Of course if we could obtain a sample for testing, we could use it to photograph the specs at the time the are released, but Canon has also been coy about providing reviewers access to preproduction units.) Speculation is that time reverse photography provied up to a 5 minute window for reshoots and future photography may provide a much longer window, but reduced resolution for periods greater than an hour.

Some leading NY stores are already taking waiting list orders.

i actually got to play with one already and i was very disappointed. the new extra features are excellent, but it's only 1.3 megapixels. i couldn't believe it. i'm gonna hold off on this one and wait for one with a built-in hard drive and printer. and maybe a go-go gadget copter.

But with that reshoot capability, you can actually res up as much as you like by reshooting and interlacing. In fact there is a built in feature on the menu (just below the bracketing controls) just for this. You can obtain near gigapixel resolution with this feature, if you have the patience and onboard memory.

Canon is also being coy about the software they plan to ship, but it's not unreasonable to expect it to support interlacing of raw files shot using this feature.

A big difference between this Canon and the new Nikon 1000D (reported to be in current development by unnamed sources).

No "trash" or "delete" button on the Nikon - it's just not needed anymore. Perfect shots everytime. All of them wall-hanging keepers!

Doesn't anyone else think this is kind of fishy that they're using a model name that is surprisingly easy to photoshop together.

By the way, the right side of the 35D doesn't match in light signatures to the grip below it...

    Revised prototype
I believe those shots are all of an earlier prototype, and whereas they do include some good features that have fallen by the wayside, the best news is that the latest prototypes have a much larger LCD...
