So here's my standard process for straightening the horizon:
1. "Gee, looks a bit off. Let's rotate->arbitrary"
2. Guess the proper angle
3. See if the guess was close enough
4. Go to step 1 if needed
On occasion, I've rotated 3 or 4 times with smaller increments until it looked just right. Yuck.
So one day my PS guru friend sees me doing this and says "Why don't you use 'arbitrary'?", to which I say "I am". "No, no, the measure tool fills that in for you." :scratch
I had no clue. Obviously!
So here's the deal:
Click and hold the eyedropper and you will get the flyout menu. Pick the "measure" tool. Then click and drag along the horizon (or any line you want to be horizontal or vertical) in your image. Now go to "rotate arbitrary". Viola', the proper angle is already in the box. Just accept it and you are all set.
Sorry if this is too "beginner" for the rest of you, but it made my day when she showed me! :thumb (Didn't even know the measure tool existed to be honest!)
