Hi Everyone,
Dgrin challenge 77 is here. It will run from Monday October 30th at 12:00:01 a.m. NYC time, through Monday, November 13th at Noon NYC time. The guest judge for the challenge will be the winner of challenge 76 (Inside Out), as determined by the voters.

As always, please take some time to comment and critique so all participants will get the most out of the Challenge. Please comment as often as you can.

The theme for Challenge 76 is: System

System, systematic, systems, the system is down, have fun with it. It's a tough one, I realize, but see what you can do. In the end, we should see your shot and think "system" (and not just because its in the title ). Good luck to you all and, as usual, Dgrin Photo Challenge rules apply. Please read them here and remember that shots must be fresh, as in, shot during the challenge period. Don't forget to include the date shot or a link to your smugmug exif info.

~DoctorIt

***Challenge SYSTEM will close to entries on Monday, November 13th at 12 Noon NYC time***

Please note that entries received after the challenge period ends are ineligible and will be deleted without notice.

Mercury Transit
It is the most complicated system I know of. I'm talking about our solar system. What you see here is the Sun and few sunspots. The small black disk in the middle is not a spot. It is Mercury! Yesterday Mercury transited the Sun for about 5 hours. It is a very rare event. Next time Venus is going to transit the Sun in 2012. Only those 2 planets (Mercury and Venus) could transit the Sun.
