what should my image sizes be if I want one WM for portrait and one for landscape images. You know, it's that whole sizing thing.

The main number you are looking for is 801px. The images will need to have 801px be the smallest size on it's shortest side for watermarking. More about watermarking HERE

FYI: We do not watermark photos whose longest side is equal to or less than 800 pixels ...
