Photo waivers needed or not??
I have started photographing youth football and putting on my website for sale. I am new to this. I did purchase my state photo license. Are anything in the way of waivers needed? Any advice is appreciated!!! I know public evetnts should be ok, but what about the posting?

No Waivers needed
I'm no lawyer, so don't say Keith said so but...
I've spoke with my lawyer trying to cover every base. I have thousands of pictures of other people for sale on my smugmug account with no release. If you use a photo for promotional use like on a flyer to promote your business then you start to move towards needing a release. The one thing he mentioned to me is that if a parent or person asks to have their pic removed than remove it. which is fine because if a parent wants it removed they are the only ones that would by it anyway. This has never happened |
