Privacy global setting vs gallery setting
[FONT=&quot]
I'm a newbie to SmugMug and struggling with understanding the privacy settings. I see at the Control Panel level two options:

hello world! no
hello smuggers! only on my SmugMug site

I have the "can google see you" set to "no" and the "smuggers" setting set to "no, make me an island".

Now when I make a new gallery I guess I expect its settings to be inherited from the global settings but by default the following four choices in the security & privacy section are always YES. Even if I set public yes/no to "no" during the creation of the gallery only that one item is set to "no" while the rest are "yes".

public: ?
hello world! ?
hello smuggers! ?
ext. links: ?

I guess my question is, if I have my Control Panel setting set to:

hello world! no

Do I need to worry about the individual gallery setting for "hello world!"?

Also, if they are independent, why don't new galleries default their "hello world!" and "hello smuggers!" settings based on the control panel's global setting?

I think I've figured everything else out and LOVE SmugMug. I have a few more days left in my trial and I'm definitely going to sign up!

Thanks for your help.

You can set create your own quick settings to be used when you create a new gallery. These settings could include the hello world and hello smuggers settings that you want to use.

Info on quick settings can be found at http://www.smugmug.com/help/picture-storage.
