Customization

Hi Everyone,
I recently converted to a pro site-----jdanielphotoart.com. I used Wolf Snap to do my customization and help with some other business systems. David Wolf did an outstanding job. I was totally helpless and lost before I found David on Digital Grin. I'm very pleased with everything he did and look forward to working with him in the future as I continue to refine and add to the site.
Cheers,
jdaniel aka Dan

Thanks so much Dan! I always appreciate glowing reviews

But, what you forgot to mention were the absolutely gorgeous business cards we made for you too!

Business cards

The business cards are gorgeous!! They are printed (color) on heavy glossy stock, with images on both sides. The design of the cards match the look and design of my site. Great job David! I'm very pleased.

Smugmug Customization

David Wolf just finished customizing my smugmug site and he did an awesome job! I love it. I highly recommend his services. He spends the time to listen to your needs before he gets started, and them comes through with a perfect product.

Fantastic! I'm so happy you liked the outcome. It's gorgeous, if I do say so myself

Thinking of Updating Your Look -- contact Jerry Roek

We found Jerry about 2 years ago when we were new to SmugMug and have NEVER once regretted it... Anytime we ran into trouble or had a new idea that we just had to have - Jerry was there for us. So if you are looking to revamp your site or are just starting out, this is the guy to contact. Tell him your thoughts and he'll work with you to get the site you dream of.

Jerry ... We LOVE it ... the new look is amazing, love the 'enter page' so much more professional looking, love the header photos and how they change with every click of our site; really highlights our work! As always, great work, without you we would have never been able to get our vision up and running... You're the BEST!!

Wow, that was fast! Great service, too!

Last night I sent a quick e-mail to DrDavid (he provides customization services) asking for info about billing services and being able to take credit cards. I'd noticed he had a nice setup and wanted to know what he did. He responded in about 2 seconds and asked if he could call to discuss since it'd be easier to explain. Well, within an hour he had me all set up and I'm now able to send professional invoices to my clients and they can input their cc info and pay online. I appreciate the fact that he laid out several options for me and we discussed which would best suit my needs.

I can't recommend David's services enough. He helped me get my website set up last year and I get a lot compliments saying how nice it looks. Although I did some initial work on setting it up, I know my limitations and my time is better served having a professional working on things like that. He did a great job, especially with adding music and a customer contact page, cleaning up my galleries, etc.

Beyond the website help, he also helped me become more functional in other aspects of my business. For example, he got me set up with a better e-mail system and that's been a huge help!

I could've spent the time figuring out how to do everything on my own and I'm sure I would've eventually figured things out, but as someone once told me, "It's better to spend your time working ON the business than IN the business." David's expertise has helped me save time and stay focused on what I really want to do.

So in case you're getting frustrated trying to do things yourself or if you think there's things you could be doing to streamline the admin side of your business, I'd highly recommend you talk to David Wolf:

Thanks for letting me rave!

Hi -

If you are looking for custom development of a more generalized nature, you may want to check out this link. I developed this site for my son using a SmugMug Power account. This includes an integrated Blogger blog, Feedburner, and more.

You also might want to check this out if you are a fan of NFL Football...

See: www.draftgreenroom.com

Thanks,

Tom K.

Might I ask why you used Smugmug for this site? It doesn't appear that you are using any of the built-in capabilties of Smugmug galleries and barely have any images.

John -

1) It's what I know, most of my sites are more photo-oriented
2) No real local software toolset required - certainly nothing to buy
3) Hosting prices are reasonable (this is on a Power account - $5/month)
4) Dgrin is a great resource for support and ideas
5) I can take advantage of SmugMug-based services when I want to or when they become available (e.g., adding photos/videos later will be easy)
6) In my experience with SmugMug, SEO seems to be pretty good

As I mention, I typically get involved in photo-oriented sites where the SmugMug look/linkage is extremely valuable. For instance, a popular site for a high-school cheerleading team, where parents contribute photos/videos, with the ability to download and purchase prints/merchandise directly (we keep this out of Google searches for privacy reasons).

I also do work for small businesses (e.g., landscapers, interior decorators) who have the great desire to show off years of custom projects to potential customers within a general website. I have also done a large extended family photo album.

This is a sideline hobby for me - perhaps I will try out a more generalized toolset at some point, but this works quite well for now.

Thanks much... and thanks for your support,

Tom

Need a great SmugMug customizer? Hire David Wolf!

I have used two SmugMug customizers, and I have to say that David Wolf brought my website to the professional level I was looking for.

My first website customizer did an ok job, and although it was functional, I just wasn’t very happy with the design. Some of his other websites that he’s created look great, but mine didn’t.

I hired David to redesign my website, and I found him to be very professional, easy to talk to, very knowledgeable, and just a wonderful designer. My new website was redesigned in one week! What I got is a very professional looking site that is just beautiful. I am so happy with his work!

Besides web design, David also knows a lot about business marketing - he set me up with a business email account that also incorporates my personal email addresses - so now I just have ONE email site to log on to. He has great ideas, and takes extra steps to make sure you have what you need.

Thank you David! I love, love, love my new website! I've been getting lots of positive feedback too!

Jerry Roek was wonderful

I used Jerry for my site - immediate response, friendly, experienced and a fellow photographer. He provided exactly what I was looking for in a timely, professional manner, and I'd recommend to anyone using smugmug.
