Very cool pics Cuong.

This is all I have to offer. Had to clone out a few distracting nectar drops.

Hi, I don't have a macro lens but I just took this one using the zoom on my camera.
I don't know if it can be considered a macro or not, but I like the shot and thought to share it here

BTW: I received already from Santa a gift certificate for $600.00 to be used in a camera shop
and I'd like to buy a macro lens for my Canon 50D - would you guys have any recommendations?

Thank you in advance,

Thank you very much Cuong.

I realize now that I shouldn't have asked this question here into
this thread, which is actually a contest. Please disregard my question - I'll go into tips and advices
for more info. Anyway, for now I'll have a look at the EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens.

Thank you so much again, and please excuse me for interrupting the contest.

Small dessicated hydrangea petals
I don't think I have posted this before. Fairly recent. It's 5 images stacked with Zerene stacker. 50D, 60mm macro, 20mm extension.

Here you go... these were shot outside yesterday...this was the only flower I could find. It's a gerber daisy that has seen better days... I shot it with my old rebel g film camera's kit lens (35-80mm 4-5.6 III) with the front element removed (per a tutorial I found somewhere) on my 7d. There's no focus control without the element, and the DOF is razor thin (This was shot at f25), but for free (since I already had it) it's not a bad macro lens...<img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/mwink.gif" border="0" alt="" >

Another Christmas cactus
I keep trying, because they change every day. I shot this with a 100mm macro, no tubes, on a tripod. I took the flash off the camera, put a diffuser and a Demb flip it on it, held it behind and above the flower, and aimed the reflector vaguely in the direction of the back of the flower.

Nice shot... I like it with the light shining through the petals instead of reflecting off of them...

Chistmas cactus
This may be out of place--I don't think I have seen other B&W photos here. However, I keep trying with Christmas cacti, and today I realized that they might be more interesting this way. 1:1, 50D, Canon 100 macro. 5 images stacked with Zerene.

I snapped this on my way in to work this morning, I think it's fitting for the cold dreary winter. My 1st post, have had my first DSLR camera for less than a week. I had the 55-200 lens on, so had to stand way back and zoom in to get the focus and depth of focus I wanted.
