Tear it up. Let's hear it all - good, bad, mediocre... everything. I get hits but not many conversions... what can I fix? Please let me know how the WB looks as well... I have never-ending WB issues.

Thanks!

Overall I think it presents you and your work well. I wouldn't hesitate to use or recommend you. clap.gif

Just a thought or two: What is honest wedding photography? I can see your passionate about the environment. Do you think by being so vocal on this issue it may turn off a few clients?

I think your site is beautiful. The only thing I could say is that I did not find how to get into the site. But I know that the picture usually provides the link. Rolled the mouse pointer over it and there it was. I know my Mom would just stare at it not knowing what to do. But then your opening page is nice it would be a shame to ruin it with a click photo to enter site.
I would add that I agree somewhat with Sam the 2nd paragraph is not needed. Sold on the 1st but the 2nd leads to questions
Nice website. I have always appreciated your photo work

Thanks so much for the kind words, guys!

For reference, here are the two tiny paragraphs being discussed on my splash page:

"I am a photographer based in Gainesville, Florida working also in Jacksonville, St. Augustine and Ocala who focuses on honest wedding, engagement, and portrait photography. I also specialize in unique promotional photographs for local businesses.

If you are looking for an open-minded photographer who supports the efforts of local and independent small businesses and someone that wants to leave this world in a better state than how we found it, you've come to the right place!"

The main reason they're there is for SEO purposes, i.e., the cities I work in and some other key words are hidden in them. And for the record... reading them here, now, in this space... they are terribly written. Did I do that? Wow.

More and more it seems that the people who know things about business are saying over and over again to not be afraid to polarize yourself and to really show your potential clients who you are and what matters to you. By doing so, you attract the people you know you'll love working with and who value you for YOU in addition to your work. So I guess I'm going for that route... but it's definitely worth considering whether this is too strong or the right place for it.

Also, yeah... honest wedding and bla and bla photography. It seems that I need better language to state that I'm less interested in having people pose and smile (but of course we do get those shots for Mom and Dad), and I'm more interested in capturing a real moment that contains honest emotion. So rephrasing. Noted. I'll work on it. Suggestions accepted. :)

I will consider the [enter here] link. That is a good point.

This is great, please keep it coming! Anything else to change?

When you accept honest and non destructive criticism from any person, be a friend or simply someone trying to help, that makes you a better person.
Good luck and keep up with your great work.beer.gif
