Looking for that steep steep hill in west Texas

When I was a kid, I used to travel in west Texas with my parents, and there was a very steep hill that came off a tall mesa down a steep incline and I think there was one of those "Use Lower Gear" signs at the top and you could see cars that didn't make it down in the ravine that were from the 30s, 40s, and 50s, but this was in the 60s, and nearest I can remember the next town was Ft Stockton, could be wrong on that though. Sure would like to relive some youth and travel down that road again. Could someone please help me find that road again, I promise I'll bring back pics.
