The Flight Heritage Collection at Paine Field in Everett WA held a free fly day Saturday. The weather was poor, low variable clouds, light rain that came and went, but they launched and what a day it turned out to be. Several bonus aircraft in addition to the two stars.

Here's a few, the rest can be found at the following link though at this writing I'm still processing shots.

Great shots, even with the overcast......but I'm a sucker for a P51 anyway.....

My mom was an inside riveter for P51s at a converted Buick factory in New Jersey. Everybody worked for the war effort (& there was rationing) Don't remember anybody complaining.

    Nice shots

Nice shots! I haven't seen flying any Zero myself yet. And I have a weakness for Mustangs, never get tired of seeing and hearing them.

Thanks! FYI... I believe this Zero uses a heavily modified DC-3 radial for it's engine. It is not the original Japanese engine. Sounds great all the same. There are some videos on YouTube from this date.... http://www.youtube.com/user/fight2flyphoto

I caught this shot during the sequence shown in the "Low Level" video. It was indeed very low! :D
