Are there any tricks to getting ones images to show up in an image search?

    Make sure that you add captions and keywords to your images and that you haven't set Hello world to no. Apart from this general advice, you could try signing up with Google webmasters (www.google.com/webmasters) and associate your SmugMug site with your google account. Then you'll be able to opt in for google's image association game, which might increase your photos in google image.
