    Mine too - that looks more like the pier up near Mussel Shoals than the Ventura Pier. I've shor the Ventura Pier a number of times and I don't recall the Channel Islands being that close or those Palm Trees either. Maybe it's just the perspective of your lens.

    Editing to add - nope - it's my memory. Looked at my images. Maybe I just shot with too much smog in the air. Definitely the Ventura Pier.

    Actually, I was out there twice in the last 4 months. :):

    The first time was in December when you were in the Bay Area for the DGrin party. The second time the airlines messed up my flight so bad I spend most of the time trying to find a flight home. If there is a third trip I'll be on the phone with you in a New York minute.

    Actually, I think it is the angle/location I shot it from. I stood on the east side of the 101 from an elevated position and shot it at 300mm (handheld in JPEG of course). :D
