Made second copy and moved to another gallery. Can not get crop/zoom
to work on all moved photos. Had to crop original then move.

2nd copy moved to

Finally had to crop original then move another 2nd copy with new crop.
Only one of two moved photos wouldn't crop. Captions were changed
after move and were like they are in original gallery with no funny
characters.

The original uploaded image is the first link with the simple caption. That was then 2nd copied and "2nd copy" moved. Then in new location, 2nd link, the caption was changed and tried unsuccessfully to crop/zoom thumbnail.

The new location now has a 2nd copy that I cropped/zoomed the thumb before moving. I deleted to first try that didn't work.

As a test I created this gallery and uploaded the photo twice. Made a 2nd copy of each and moved 2nd copies to this gallery. Tried cropping first one and it didn't work. Haven't touched 2nd photo. Repeated crop/zoom on 1st photo and TN won't crop/zoom.

Thanks Andy, have to remember to crop thumb of original before making
2nd copy and all works. But remembering is hard for us Seniors. :D

Also confirmed that on "move to gallery" page typing letter in "move to" gallery drop to jump to gallery
activates the page search. Lucky the new gallery was at the bottom so didn't have to scroll through 100's
of galleries. Maybe bug in new FF 3.0.10 version.

    Allen,

I have been trying to test this and I am not able to replicate. Any ideas on anything else that might be going on? I tried using a photo that had a caption and one that did not. I made second copies. Moved them to a new gallery. Edited the captions (also not editing). Then tried cropping. The cropping sticks each time for me.

Are you seeing this on other photos or in different galleries?

Just went to this photo and tried cropping and didn't work. Picked 1x1 and zoomed in.

Tried cropping the second photo and get this message.

Oops, something happened and we couldn't crop your photo:
    • There was a system error during cropping.
If this problem continues, please contact a SmugMug Support Hero.

Both photos are moved 2nd copy.

With the new BZT version the single thumb crop probably will rarely be
needed so with the work-around of cropping before moving 2nd copy this
    becomes a very low priority.

Did one Smugmug gallery page and only took about 30 seconds to complete.

Allen, I found that we had a bug report in the system from before I took over. I will update it with your new info. Sorry for the trouble. I think it is related to the square dimensions. When I use a non-square custom crop it works. :-/
