Downsize

Have pic @ 12 mega pix @ 320 dpi.
Need to downsize to a 1 & 1 3/8 inch
Pic with quality. Will use in keychain
Magnified photo. Need 100 for wedding
Favor. Suggestions appreciated. Am
Good with CS 3.

    I'd use photoshop to resize the picture to the required inches. I believe it's under Canvas. Then drop the resolution to 300dpi since that'll top out most printers anyways.

    When you are resizing make sure BOTH edges are >= the dimensions. After this you will have to crop the rest to get exact.

    I see they sell a cutting tool. If you are using this, it may even help to print slightly larger than 1x1.375 so you have some wiggle room. I'd probably choose a 1/4 inch in both dimensions.

    One more thing. I thought they use a special translucent film for these. If not then you could fit about 12 of these on a 4x6 canvas and upload that to smugmug. Using smugmug you could just print the special 4x6 file for that really low cost.

    I wasn't suggesting that you buy the tool. I was just saying to oversize the images for wiggle room.

    12 on a 4x6 is cheaper than 30 on a 8x10. Unless you are getting a better deal on cutting an 8x10 vs 4x6, a 4x6 will be cheaper every time.
