Oakland zoo. Temperature -- in the 90s. Most animals were just lying around on the ground or trying to cool themselves off with water.

    The Bigma is a good lens for the money. It doesn't compare to the 200-400 VR I rented once but that's a$1,000 lens versus $6,000 lens.

    It is big and heavy but not too bad.

    Nice set of pics. I liked the three flamingoes.

    Kudos to you for going out and photographing in that heat. I think I was sprawled out like some of those animals when the thermometer went past 90 degrees.

    Rainbow -- I think i spent about $15 on water while i was there. It was constant hydration, but it's not like I'm on a shoot for NatGeo in the Sahara or something :)
