Starfish Everywhere!
So short story is my wife and I, two very poor and happy climbers, hitched a ride on a private jet from Alaska to Portland, Oregon to visit family and see some things (and climb of course 
). On one day we headed west to the beach, where in a few hours we checked out heaps and piles of thousands of starfish and anemones and a few other ocean creatures, so here's a few photos to share that experience with the rest of the world. Enjoy!
I think for this post I'm going to forgo captions because they'll all say "here's piles upon piles of starfish on the beach!" :rofl

You're right about the piles of star fish though. If you want help with the the other stuff, Rickets & Hedgepath wrote a great book along with a couple of others called "Between Pacific Tides". Rickets really was "Doc" in Steinbeck's stories.

Dogdots: the green things are anemones, all curled up inside themselves since the tide is so low. The rocks were crazy colorful with all these critters on them.
I was happy with #11 too, I stood waist-deep in the waves trying to time that one right.
