Alright, I've finally been able to get out and do this... Since I live in North/Central Florida I decided to go with something regional. At the moment I've just got a couple to post here but I'm still processing through the rest, so there will be more posted over the next few days.

So, without further ado:

And our state song:

I like them in the order you posted. Born on a Bayou 1 is by far my favorite, the colors are amazing and have a magical/mystical feel. Sweet!!

All you need now is Robert Goulet and an alligator to make it perfect... :D

Thanks! Unfortunately (well, or fortunately), I didn't see any gators on the whole 18 miles of the river that I kayaked. I did hear a huge splash while down in a tiny inlet that was really very pretty. I had the camera up to my eye, so I couldn't see what it was or where the splash came from, and I was just a tiny human all alone. It scared the [insert four-letter word of your choice here] out of me and I paddled like I've never paddled before to get out of the inlet and back out into the body of the river. :) Other than that and getting caught in the rain (twice), it was a lovely trip!

The rest of the gallery is here and should be updated with more photos soon.

I like #1 too, it is to bad you were not able to catch a critter in the scene. Would have really set it off.
    Sounds like a fun time

Thanks! I'm really glad you like that one!

Alright, now to make it more complicated, here is another bayou photo that I processed last night as well as bayou 1.

Both are excellent. I don't think it is as easy as which one is better. For me they have a different feel. #3 is pure bayou, peaceful and serene. #1 has a mystical/fantasy feel for me. Depends which 'feel' you want. The tree on the left on #1 keeps bothering me, but it does frame the scene well.

#1 jumps out at me more, so I pick that one.

Alright, I guess I'll go with Bayou 1. I agree about the tree though. I've already cropped in a bit so that it's framing the image now, but maybe I'll crop just a touch more before submitting.

Thanks for the input, and good luck everyone!
