I've been enjoying the whole trip journal, but I want to give you a special shout out for your dune shots. Coolness.

    Wonderful photos
I'm enjoying my armchair traveler's view of the west thru the eyes of a British traveler!

I must say those dune shots are out of this world! Really great!

Lovely pan. Especially with that car behind it. And the colors are great, too.

    I love this shot, Gubbs.

When they are on the beach, all together, with the exception of the Harry seal, I am afraid they are dead.

Memories of other photos in the news, I guess. So, very glad to see this guy up and about.

I like the shot where you are hurrying to make the gate closing. And the ones of San Fran. I really like the shot of Mrs Gibbs, lol3.gif , at the Grand Hole.
I have never been there, always amazes me. Such an "American" place.

Nice shooting, looks like a great trip.

Wasn't that kind of dangerous for the Mrs G, standing at an angle like that?

Never having been there, I don't really know, but I was never told that the Hole and horizon slanted like that, there.

This one really captures the feel of SF to me when I was visiting my brother several years ago. Excellent.

Glad I found this thread. Great shots all around! Really makes me want to go cross country again.

You know, it's a real shame you guys ran into so much inclement weather. That's not typical, especially not of California in May.

Mrs G wanted to take me out for the evening and had booked a table at a restaurant that a work colleague had suggested that she take me to. I thought it a little strange as she wouldn't tell me any thing about the place ne_nau.gif

When we arrived I noticed half of the U shaped bar was set up as dancefloor with poles :uhoh.
WTG, my wife had bought me to a lap dancing bar :D I couldn't quite believe it!!

Anyway the show started after dinner, here are a couple of pix shot at iso 3200 handheld....
