OK, here is an odd ball lens that I bought on ebay a while back on a whim. Turns out I did pretty good! This is from Canon's first line up of eos lenses. It's a push-pull zoom (which I really like!) and is the non L version. This lens has a constant aperture at f5.6. It is slightly soft wide open but gets super sharp by f8 and stays that way through f16. The only difference between this lens and the L version was that the L had a Fluorite element and a UD element. Other than that, NO DIFFERENCE!. There is a scratch on the front element that was there when I bought it. It's never shown in a photograph so I didn't fret too much about it, I am just being up front here so you don't feel like I'm hiding something. The only reason I'm selling it is to buy some primes. My wife and I are retooling our photo biz away from weddings/events to portraits and seniors. So L primes here we come!

*edit* I forgot to say, the lens hood comes with it! Also It's best to email me at tim (at) weaverimaging (dot) com. /edit

Price is $100.00 shipped to CONUS. Off shore buyers are welcome and we can discuss shipping options.

Thanks!

Kinda tempting. I have this same lens but in their 70-210/F4.0 version. Love the slide zoom and the fixed apurature. Bummer about that scratch.
Let's face it; more gear than sense.
