Marblehead on Labor Day

My family spent Labor Day going around Marblehead. A few from that day. C&C always welcome.

#1 View from Castle Rock

Out on Marblehead Neck there is a public area called Castle Rock. This is a view looking back towards Marblehead Harbor.

#2 Breaking Waves

I started stacking GND and ND filters to try to get some smooth wave action.

#4 Sailboats Heading Out

Everyone seemed to be heading out at the same time to go sailing. It was a beautiful day with a good breeze and the harbor was full.

#6 Marblehead Light

Marblehead Light is a little less photogenic that Portland Head or Nubble Light. I think the best description may be an oil derrick with a light on top.

You are really bringing back memories. I lived on the neck from '87 to '90 here, the owners will probably wonder about the extra internet traffic. Nice to see the rock beach off of Castle Rock again. The stones are really smooth and warm under a summer sun.

I'll do that. Maybe when you head up to Acadia for the Shootout we can meet at Portland Head.
