For folks in the Bay Area, the Pacifica Historical Society are running
tours of Sam's Castle in Pacifica, CA during the month of October.

I went last year and I envisioned taking photos like
Troy Paiva's Sam's Castle Set, but I ended up with only
a few shots that I liked. It was a little difficult shooting with
all the other visitors, nonetheless, I enjoyed my visit.
PHS folks are dressed up in period clothing and help explain the
history of Pacifica and Sam's Castle. It's all good fun.
