Canon lens 300 f4 usm IS and 100-400 4.5 usm is

Does anyone have pics of these 2 lenses..i am looking to buy one or the other leaning towards the 300 ..Dont know if i like the push pull lens..

    Well, the push-pull one is a zoom. You could always lock it down at some focal length and pretend it's a prime. rolleyes1.gif

    I have both and the 300 doesn't fit in my DOMKE bag as nicely because it's a bit longer.

    The IS makes more noise on the 300 as well.

    However the images from the 300 seem sharper and I can use a 1.4x to get 420 @5.6

    John...Is the build solid as in weather proof and focusing. tried one yesterday and the it sounded pretty quiet...maybe afte wear and tear ...the sounds will appear

    The 300 does not have weatherproofing from the reviews I have read. To me it seems built like any other telephoto L.
