College Football North Carolina @ Georgia Tech

My first ever opportunity to shoot a college football game from the sidelines. The conditions were constantly changing. From cool to hot, from cloudy to sunny to downpours (just what Atlanta needed after the recent floods). I hope I get another opportunity to do this again.

    Exposures are great. What were you shooting with? After many years of trying I still have not gained access to a college football sideline. Maybe when G Tech comes to Starkville this weekend you could help me out. I'll feed you a great pre-game meal!:D

    That's a lot of gold in the first shot. I'd crop the 2nd and 3rd tighter. Given the skin color, I would suggest loosing some highlights next time. Football helmets really hide faces well. Faces are the key to a good shot, and they are all lost under those helmets. Seeing a little blown whites, is a small price to pay for emotion.

    Thanks for the comments everyone...

    Clix...I was shooting with an entry level Canon Rebel XT with a Sigma 70-200mm f2.8

    SKnight...I just hope there is a next time...I have been waiting all my life to get on that field (48 yrs)
