Kings/Sequoia Natl Park

The wife and I will spend two days at Kings/Sequioa the end of October. What do we want to hit. Any accomidations recomondations?

    If time permits, and you want a really big thrill, consider driving up Mineral King Road, which is located a few miles south of the actual park entrance, off highway 198. It is a slow-going, twisty-turny adventure of a ride, with magnificent views. If you do decide to go, please check the weather, as due to the elevation, there might be issues that late in October (it closes on November 1).

    But if weather and time permit, and your wife doesn't mind a 'thrill ride', go for it! :D

    I've only been to it once, but there is a ton to see. We stayed here, mostly because they were really nice and accommodating, and I admit while it wasn't fancy it was cozy:

    They're very close to the entrance to Sequioa, although if you want sunrise shots, don't do what we did and wait until 4 AM to drive around looking for a place to shoot.

    General's Highway (198) was a really great road to travel on if you like twisty roads. :D And if you follow it north you'll start seeing the big trees, General Sherman Tree, etc.

    The cafe "downtown" in Three Rivers has free wireless if that's important to ya!
