A parent brought their family's corn snake to my son's baseball game on Sunday.

It wasn't a very warm day, so the snake mostly hung out in her sweatshirt.

And then these two precious little girls wanted a chance to hold it. They were so curious and patient and giggly and cute!

They enjoyed it much more than this other parent did!

I don't really enjoy snakes, but this one was really pretty and content to be held. I touched it with one finger and then just watched everyone else hold it!

Thanks, all! Yes, it was quite an interesting thing to observe. The kids seemed more comfortable with it than the adults. The family it belongs to has children with severe allergies, so this creature has worked out very well as a pet. I think I would just forgo the pet option, personally! But, it was a very pretty snake and it was fun to see the reactions!

I love the little girls! It's nice to see people who haven't been brainwashed into thinking that reptiles are somehow repulsive! Nice shots!!

i LOVE 4-7, especially the expression in 5..how adorable! The snake is pretty cool too thumb.gif Reminds me of when I was in grade school, I went to a small catholic school and we had school pet snake named Balboa. We'd just hold him and play with him in the middle of class. He liked to get into our shirts!

The topic of pets came up at practice one day and she was sharing about their pet snake, and she volunteered to bring it to the next game. That's all.

These are great, I especially like the first two with the little girls, very cute, great expressions.
The snake reminds me of several I saw at the reptile expo a few weeks ago.

It's interesting how they breed such brightly colored corn snakes now.
