The Pataxó are a native tribe from Bahia, Brazil. They still live by their ancient standards. Most of the time they are kind to visitors and theirs kids always ready to pose to photographers.
Here´s a pic I took a couple of years ago which I think turned out nicely:

That's a very nice photo. Makes one want to get out of the cold north. Maybe the light is different down south, but I'd be hard pressed to capture that sort of light here in Finland.

Thanks. Here in Portugal , even being far to the south from Finland, we can´t find this kind of light either....
That´s why, whenever possible, I like to spend 7 hours in a plane towards South America...

Hi all.
I´m subscribed to other forums and also do host several images at PBase.
I am new here but, so far, I feel that other members do not comment / critizise pictures so often as I was used to see...
Let´s take this example: 129 views, one comments.
I am wondering: is the image so bad? But even so, I am used to receive the appropriate critiques from people more capable, what´s always useful to improve our work...
Or, may be the absence of feedback be just the way things run here?

Anyway, I´ll try to not give up posting here, adding my work to some awesome work I can see from other members.

Your horizon is a bit titled...Is that a leach on the right shoulder of the boy on the left?

The expression on the middle boys face is absolutely priceless!

The photo is beautiful...That is not a leach, it's the little girls ponytail hugging her shoulder...she is so lovely you could almost crop the shot just with her in it.
Well, I guess you would call me... genus, humanus... Alice.

The horizon... funny - I never noticed that! But it is indeed! I guess that being so focused at the pretty faces of the kids, I completely forgot the backgroun! Good point . I´ll adjust it and will replace the image at my gallery. Thanks.

Yes, Alice. Thanks for the help explaining it. They are really pretty, aren´t it?
