Weird Photoshop CS4 events

This is a weird one.. PS4 works fine most of the time... except.. twice now I've opened a raw sunset and a sunrise shot, both taken tall rectanglular and when I try to transform or crop BLING.. closes. ONLY with these yellow sun in ya face shots tho.. anyone else noticed this??:scratch methinks it must be a math thing, too many yellow pixels sideways on or something. Very annoying.
