Last Year we traveled down Route 66 from Chicago to Adrian Texas, the half way point. We were suppose to make the second half of the trip this year, but due to certain circumstances we had to cancell it for this year. These are a few of the gas stations we stopped at along the way. They were converted to HDR's and tone mapped. I hope you enjoy them.

I love HDR--don't know how to do it yet, but I like the look of it very much and I'm really digging yours.

Next time can you please post them bigger and with spaces in between the photos--it would just make them that much more enjoyable, for me anyway. I'd love to be able to look at a screen sized version of these.

How many exposures did you take and what software did you use? I know I can do HDR's in Photoshop, at least to some degree, but I'm not sure what limitations it has compared to other software out there.

    Thanks Liz,
That was my first posting and it took me a bit to figure that out. Next time I should have it all figured out. Otherwise you can see the full size on my website.

    Thanks Bill,

Those were converted using 3 shots, +2 0 -2 and then converted to an HDR using Dynamic HDR by media chance http://http://www.mediachance.com/hdri/index.html

I tried them and Photomatix and went with mediachance because of the ease of converting and I really liked their final results. I then brought them into Photoshop for the final touch-ups. Both companies have free trials, so give them shot.

    Thanks for looking,

    Craig

    Very nice. thumb.gif

I was at a gallery last night where the current show is HDR automobiles with emphasis on the HDR I guess. The compositions were very plain and boring to me.

I would love to see your images printed big hanging in a gallery. They are much more interesting and I'm sure there are a lot of details we are missing when looking at the very small images.

    Awesome job! bowdown.gif

These are all great images. Though a bit over the top as HDR images,
    for me.
They would ALL be much easier to look at if you used some line spaces
between them, as I have done with the first few in the quote below, so they separate and
are easier to see, each on their own, instead of all run together!

    HDR works
Although I am not a big fan of over the top HDR, this process really worked with these images. Sort of retro and I like the effect. Great journey.
