#36 Head start on Creepy - (No crawlies)

Not sure if this works as a concept let alone an image.
Only slight lighting variations between them.

What do people think?
Is it creepy? or just blah?

A little creepy. I think you need a prop or more scruff. Seems to be missing some oomph. The eyes are great, though. I have a feeling the creepy factor will be pretty high this round.

Thanks for the quick feedback.
I've added a 3rd version which I prefer. It is more desaturated (to emulate moonlight) & the lighting is more dramatic.
What do you think?

Thanks for the feedback folks, I felt 3 was creepier but everyone has a different take.

I can't seem to stop tweaking this trying to get "extremely creepy". If some one said they were so creeped out that they thought they saw him in the shadows on the way home that would be a win.

I hope no one does of course.

I gave hardened up the face a little & played with the lighting in #5.
Are these better or worse than #3 and am I straying from the challenge theme?

Can you get #3 and #4 on the same page? I think its between those two, and would be easier as side-by side to really assess them. #5 is too much light IMO.

Tatiana & Andrew, thanks again for the feedback it is helping solidify my vision.

As suggested Andrew here are #3 &#4 side by side.
I have also added #6 a toned down version of #5.

What does everyone think?

#6 since the specular highlight on the nose is gone. I like the extra scruff, so #3 is out. #4 and #6 are very similar except for the nose. So, for me, #6 wins by a nose.... (sorry...)

#3 from your first set has enough mystery in the shadows that it is creepier than the last two you have posted.

Edit: #3 in the 3 side by side I think is the one I mean.

I also like #3. Maybe if you could reduce the nose highlight in #3. Really cool creepy shots!

Ok so what is hopefully the last set of edits and the last time I ask for your input (for this round). Considering this image started off as a test shot to check lighting & focussing it has taken on a life of its own.

Since people liked the original #3, #4 & #6 I have spent time losing the nose flare (and trying all sorts of other stuff that just didn't work).

So here are the modified versions of those images side by side + I've posted 1 more that was a final thought. I did try creating a mix #3 & #6 but to no avail

I'm afraid my pp skills just aren't up to it.

Please take the time to offer your opinions on these "final" versions.

B, Try a "Cat's Eye" Pupil in the eyes? Maybe? Otherwise I keep looking over my shoulder to make sure he's not there!

B or C, but there's something about the glint in the eye of C and the wrinkles under the eye that is making my skin crawl. Makes him feel that much more real, IMO.
