Was pleasantly surprised before game, a mom from the other team came up to me and asked me if I shoot both teams, I told her I do and gave her my card (with a few extra)...

She told me that one of the parents had seen my pics and they were hoping I'd be at the game.... She was very complimentary... I'll let you know if I get even a single sale from their side biggrin.gif (they are team in white)

Kudos on the kudos; well earned.

    Questions...

    1) These samples are with same or close-to flash setup as discussed in your other thread?

    2) Noise reduction applied?

    3) Any samples from same arena, same equipment, minus the flash?

    Thanks,

    Rob

Rob, normally pretty close. Start at 1/4 power manual on the flashes (4 total, two ganged at each end.)

No noise reduction, this is ISO 800 +/- on a D700, not really needed.

here is a game I shot last year, same rink, ISO 4000 +/- no strobes, not sure if I did NR, but I probably did a minor tweak

    Thanks Tim.

Clearly that D700 handles noise EXTREMELY well. Thanks for sharing.

These are terrific shots with your flash setup. I shoot alot of my son's hockey from the other side of the glass. Getting the clear faces behind the cages is a nightmare. You did a great job.

(sarcastic voice starts) "I don't know, they're a birthday present" (sarcastic voice ends)

I have 2 AB1600s out for delivery right now. Can't use until after Election day. That's my real birthday....
