Manfrotto 3047 3-way pan, tilt head.

Manfrotta 321PRO tripod legs

Over all very pleased with the purchase, the lens are nothing short of excellent, the pictures (while sort of snap shots) are very sharp at f/8.

The tripod is a winner, kinda heavy at 5lbs but very stable. The head is a work of art also, very heavy duty and will hold my 20D with the 300 in all positons with no slipping.

I'd have to take out a 2nd mortgage to receive a shipment such as yours. Prelim tests look pretty awesome.

I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

Were those images shot with the camera and lens on the tripod?

Great items! How heavy is the 300mm f/4? I'm thinking about that lens or another but it looks very large.

No, the 300 was on a monopod with the IS turned off.

    The 300 is around 2.6lbs I belive.
