Anybody have any suggestions for wide angle aftermarket lenses for use with 20d? Don't fee like spending $800 for the Canon EF-S 10-22MM

first of all, you won't touch the equivalent focal length for less money. sigma has a 12-24 that's good - nearly as much money.

tamron has an 11-18mm for under $600

you can find more info on b&h's website

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    ef-s 60mm macro
the canon ef-s 60mm macro looks just right to me-with 1.6 crop factor it is close to 100mm in the old money and gives you 1:1 macro, and is roughly the size of a film based 50 mm prime
