    Going back through the 2009 photos I took another look at this one in colour and with a different crop. Thoughts?

    I prefer the original, BW, cropped version. This one looks oversaturated, on top of being in color and uncropped.rolleyes1.gif

    Hmm...the faces stand out more in the color version, but the posture of the guy bending down is less apparent somehow. I prefer the crop. I guess that makes it two to one. lol3.gif

    another vote for #1. I feel as though I can reach into the screen and touch the elderly man's hand. It's a great shot.

    Thanks for the comments. I'd shown the image to a few people over the holidays and I was regularly asked what the two people were reaching toward. The alternative crop brings the slippers the old man assembled into view, but I agree that it loses some of the sense of struggle.
