I had a little time to kill this afternoon and made it up the Columbia River Gorge on this gloomy winter day. I'm happy with how things turned out for the most part. C&C appreciated as always.

The stream/river shots are sublime. Rich detail and color that is enhanced by the gloom rather than oppressed by it. You've got the feeling of the place.

As far as the processing goes, I prefer 1a and 3a. The mood comes through stronger for me on both. Strangely b&w treatment of the RR sign doesn't convey the old-timey nature of the shot as much.

Thank you for the comments....that was kind of my thought but wanted to see what everyone else had in mind too. Thanks again thumb.gif

Beautiful! The waterfalls are always nice of course, but I just love the close-ups of the bridge.

Very nice Matt. I used to live in the Portland area and have been through the Gorge many times.
I like all of them with the first 3 and then the Bridge at Multnomah Fall being my favorites. I really like what you did with the pics.
I am not really a good one to give advice on your processing question though.

I really like the first one alot. I too have visited the area a couple of times. As for the post processing I prefer 1a and 3a. I am a fan of minimal pp. I am trying to learn where the line of too much is myself But that is just my opinion.
