It started one way, then went another...

I started out with the goal to take some New Years pictures of my family. My Dalmatian is 18 years old now and I want to keep current pictures of him, if you know what I mean. My wife's Coon dog is a flat-out nut case!

Self-portraits are hard, but the four of us ~ Yeppers, fun to be had by all.

1) My wife Teresa, Gus & Rocky

2) This is a perfect example of how life is around here with an inside Coondog :huh
758558200_67cYq-L.jpg

3) Since things were going, Ummm... interestingly ~ My wife decided that she was willing to participate in a bunch of shots.
So, who was I to disappoint her?

4) Yep, she clicked first ~ I win!

5) She is soo the Artist' :rofl
758516624_PQ65P-L.jpg

6) Then we got the crazy notion of doing a series with hats

10) 30 years of marriage and counting ~ I think she might be a keeper :rofl

Thanks for looking...

This was a flat-out fun series to scroll through. Started normal enough. Then the cameras were a nice touch. But the series with the hats was the topper!

Does look like a keeper -- an 85L and 135 L in the same year and someone to share an interest on both sides of the camera...clap.gifwings.gif

Thanks for sharing such fun and excellent photos.

What a great series of shots. Looks like you two as well as the dogs had a great time. No way my wife would every get in front of the camera and have fun. I almost lost my life taking a couple pix of her at Christmas. If looks could kill!!!

    Thanks for sharing the fun!

    Oh what a hoot.
    This is a great series.
Love the one with the dogs, and already I'm enamored with the coon dog.

#8 and #10 are my favorite--You managed to capture an authentic tender moment with a self portrait in number 10--not an easy job.

PS: Congratulations on 30 years, another thing that is not an easy feat:D .

Rainbow, thanks for the kind words.

As she and the dogs normally RUN at the first site of my camera, I was shocked that she was willing to be in a bunch of pictures.

    Hey David,

If memory serves me right, this is the first time she's ever let loose and had fun in front of a camera. Normally it's the rolling-eyes thing!

Great stuff Randy! clap.gifclap.gifclap.gif The hat series is awesome, and #7 gave me a chuckle. Was that a welders helmet she was wearing? Nice pets too! I tell people to never under estimate the smarts of dogs. My one neighbor had a coon dog, and it used to climb their chain link fence to get out of the yard. And one of my friends has a dalmation that figured out how to disable those invisable fences. It learned to go up to the buried wire until the collar would start vibrating to warn it that if he goes any further that he will get shocked, and just stop there and lay down until the battery goes dead in the collar. I'm sure you have some stories you could tell about your dogs too! :D
