While Obama was inside there was a lot of stuff going on near the street, people from both sides came out:

Looks like must have had a fun time taking shots of the event.

I like #14 & #27 more than the others because they show interaction between people. Now I have to wonder if they have a common cause or are on opposing sides. There is a sameness to the other shots whereby they are shots of people hoisting signs -- not bad shots, just a lot of the same.

These people are definitely having a lot more fun being there than I would be! :D Give me the peace and quiet of remote Alaskan wilderness any day, compared to the bustling city streets during political events. Great shots though, they sort of paint the picture that the people there are not just supporting their beliefs, but they're enjoying it too. Thanks for shooting and sharing! clap.gif

That guy was arguing for about an hour straight with different Brown supporters, I might be able to do a small series just on him, a very emotive face and he really got those on the opposite side hyped up in their counterpoints.

When going through all the images I had to exclude a bunch of them to not overwhelm the rest of this one.

Great set. Really dig the heated debate ones. The looks on the faces you were able to capture really speak to me. I can feel the argument and passion on both sides.

    Great stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Some really terrific shots here. Emotions running high and people's convictions well reflected in your captures, especially #22 for me. Thanks for posting them.

These are nice. I'd take the first or the last. For the challenge I'd take one from Sunday which shows tension between the sides.

    I agree, nicely done.

I particularly like 22, 32, 33, you caught some good emotions and you were up close and personal.

I can't say why i I like 24 particularly, I just like how you shot it..

I'd say some of these are a shoe-in for the latest challenge.

Anyone else able to tell which party was which by stereotyping the people holding the signs? A split image of a few of them side by side would tell an interesting story.

I had a great time doing this so right now I'm planning on doing a series and possibly book on modern US politics.

My wife did some "profiling" looking at some of the pictures and concluded that Scott Brown supporters were overwhelmingly male (3-to-1) and white (100+-1). Coakley supporters were much more likely to women and people of color (but she didn't really finish counting.) I'd take this with a huge grain of salt.

I agree. Listen to Damon. He's got a great eye.
