We are driving up to Bad Axe, MI this weekend. My wife is from Bad Axe, so we know the area, but we usually just take Van Dyke up from Detroit. This year, I want to drive along the water and take a few lighthouse shots. We are planning on heading to Port Huron (that's the Fort Gratiot Light, correct??).
Is there anywhere else we should stop between Port Huron and Harbor Beach? I know that the Port Sanilac Light is on private property. Can you get close enough to get a decent photo?

This link will show what Lighthouse are along the shoreline, except Point Aux Barques, most I think are better seen from the water though
