#8! I love all of the locks and the crossed bars.

    I see a red x instead of #1.

There are several others that are also quite good, but #8 is the stand out one for me.

I like #2,3,4 & 15. If someone said, "choose right now", I think I'd pick 15, but that's a gut instinct without thinking through the theme and details.

    Great pictures

#8 is very striking, and the only one that really jumped out at me, though the last one's not too bad

I agree with the others that said numero 8 grabbed them. I just like the composition of that one, with the red step below it and the straight railing to the left, not to mention the quantity of locks shown!

Where were these taken, if you don't mind my asking?

Ok, again I'm going to be different. Sorry. #7 would be my choice. I like the human element in the shot.
Enjoy today, tomorrow is not guaranteed.

In your gallery, I also like #1 - the old man on the steps - and #16, the Belize family.

Wow! You live in an interesting area and your photos are great! I like the ones with the people in them. You got some great portraits and some great 'street' shots. You've got a hard choice to pick only one!

    Hi Mark,

I don't live here, but just visiting :)

I know I got some good shots because of the nature of the subjects and the environment. I this area,
it's difficult not to have very interesting shots :)

My goodness, you just took off and made a grand tour of central America for this challenge??

Both 7 & 8 are excellent 'door' themes, IMO.

When you come to a door... walk through it.
If it's locked... find an open window.

Thank you so much for all your feed-back. You are right that #7 or #8 are the best of these shots.

Now i'll have to flip the coin to choose one - I still have few hours left :D

Not a bad shot in the bunch!!

My personal favorites are ##3 and 15. If you haven't done it yet, I hope you will post #3 in the Pj forum. FWIW, think #15 would be a perfect entry. (My record at choosing what will be picked by judges is not good, so I really mean it when I say fwiw!)

As between ## 7 & 8, # 7 seems the more remarkable - gives the viewer something to respond to other than it being a pretty picture. I like the pp, too. The colors and graphics in #8 are nice. There just isn't much of a story there.

    Good luck!

    Virginia

I'd go with #7. The presence of a person makes it a more involving shot. You caught an intense expression on his face, and I love the way its framed through the blinds. It makes a lasting impression! Great stuff!

Thank you so much Virginia and Mark

Belize city is a very dangerous place to visit and walk on the streets, especially with a good camera...

It was however from far the most interesting place to take story telling photos - a real gold mine.

The barred door tells the story of a dangerous place, to those who know about this city :)

I agree that the guy in the window tells a lot more though - I already submitted it to the contest,
with the title: "Belize City - Hopes & Dreams" - when I took the photo I really had these feelings.

Thank you so much again for the feed-back.

I'll make maybe a printed photo album with the other photos :)
