Thanks to the help of you guys, I have deleted my ineligible entry (with the out of date background) and reshot the country singer on location. I am happy that I did, so thanks again! :lust

For a bit of trivia, these photos were taken this morning at President James K. Polk's birthplace.
Here are the different ways that I finished my favorite. My wife likes option 1, so for now I have put that in the contest gallery.

C&C welcome!

Option 1: The rim of the hat seems almost blue, but that was the natural glare of the sun.

Option 2: Less saturation and an effort to dodge the rim of the hat

Option 3: With a little color

Great shot! #3 is reminiscent of the stars and stripes. And I think #1 is a bit more dramatic.

I think you need to remove the border for the challenge.

I like the variations but 1 gets my vote too. Only thing Jeff, YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE BORDERS/Frame from the image so not to be disqualified.deal.gif

That's exactly what I thought too when I saw #3.

    Thanks
Thanks to everyone for your feedback and thanks to those that keep me in line. I have removed the border. I had seen conversation in the past related to borders, but thought it was related to the that particular challenge.

Man, I broke two rules with my initial efforts in this challenge. :nono What a lesson to revisit the guidelines!
    A lesson learned! nod.gif
