M7- First idea...is it sweet enough?

"...and i will have...a hive for the honey bee" and eat honey in the bee-loud mornings.......

I was inspired by the Irish Soda bread that my neighbor brought to me today.

I am getting ready to shoot a beehive tomorrow, so I had 'honey' on my brain. It was my first idea, so I'll still go and shoot it.

Thoughts? C&C?

In particular, I'd like some help with the lighting on the ones posted below.

Thanks,

Chris

    Hi Chris,
I know the poem mentions bees, but I think this might be a stretch ne_nau.gif . It's a beautiful shot, and looks like a product shot--I don't really know about it really fitting the theme though.

FWIW, I like #1 the best. I can't help you with lighting suggestions, but it looks good to me, and now I'm hungry to top it off :)

Waiting to see the bee hive shots, might be more within the theme

I'm surpised that you think that this interpretation is too far off the mark. I was keying off of Kerry's response when everyone was complaining about the lack of green foliage and too many winter brown scenes....

"There's more imagery than just warm-weather stuff in there. nod.gif
We still have dirty snow banks here, too." ...Kerry

Perhaps the beehive will still work.

Thanks for the feedback! Stay tuned for the next attempt!!

I don't think it's a stretch. I think that you have a good start -- honey on irish bread is a great, homey image that I think fits into the poem nicely.

However, 1-3, while the best, look too staged, especially with the black background. Perhaps shooting more from above, with a cozier environment, might help?

Thanks for the feedback Mark. A reshoot will require a re-bake!!! It was delicious!!

I agree with your coments. Perhaps a nice Irish linen table setting would do the trick.
