Email Mass Mailing suggestion

I simply need a way to mail the wedding guests after the photos are posted. I prefer to have a system that will put their name in the salutation line ie. "Hi Joe,". Right now I am using a spreadsheet and mail merge with office but it has limitations.

Anyone have a cheap solution? I'm not trying to do repeat mails or marketing. Just one email.

The new events feature is close, but I don't like the message so I have to edit every one of them. Also there isn't a simple email all button.

Thanks.

If I understand what you're looking for correctly, then constant contact should work well. You can sign up for a 60 day free trial, use it for this one event, and you won't have to worry about it automatically charging you after the 60 days because a credit card isnt required up front.

I need something I can use after every wedding. I only need to mail guests of a particular wedding once, but the next wedding has a new set of guests to mail.

BTW: if anyone is interested, here is how I do it for free with a little elbow grease. It's actually quick once you get the hang of it.

If you have your own website, and are comfortable with installing php programs, etc., you could try http://www.listmessenger.com/index.php/pricing

It works quite well and offers the personalization you are after. I would think the free version would be sufficient since you could clear the subscriber list after every mailing.

The free will probably work perfect. Though $50 isn't bad either. Sevices I was looking at were starting at $120 a year and that would be a recurring cost.

I have used for other purposes (other than yours) for a few years and it worked well.
