My First E-Session

This was an interesting first experience. I don't know who felt more awkward, them or me. Anyway, they seemed to loosen up towards the end. Also, they had a baby, that helped break the ice.

Anyhow, take a look and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Me like :) I'd dump the vignette on #5, but otherwise me like.

I like #6... a fun creative shot. The processing is a scosh vibrant, but I like it! Consider a 5/10 crop ratio? It might be a really fun banner or something.

The picnic idea is such a fun thing to pose them around! Endless ideas with that one...

You're probably right about the crop. I used 16x9. It's kind of an awkward crop for pictures due to it being so close to 4x6.

Oh my gosh, what a BEAUTIFUL set! LOVE, love, love your processing. iloveyou.gif

    1) Sooo pretty, love the light coming in from behind the couple
    2) She looks goooorgeous! (I'd maybe desaturate his skin a bit ... looks a bit red in some areas)
    3) Aw, so cute ... only thing I'm missing are the baby's arms
    4) Beautiful
    5) Beautiful
    6) To die for iloveyou.gif
    7) Ha!! thumb.gif

Nice work...nice post processing and captures. I know they will like your work. 5...leave the vignette...I like it.

Great set, love 'em all. #6 is my favorite...comp wise...but the super saturation is a bit much for me. Great job! thumb.gif

3, 4 and 5 are amazing! the selective focusing on the baby and his expresion are agreat... the other two are just very natural and that is always a great thing in an engagement session, or most photos for that matter. number 6 is the one I liked the least, the saturation is nice over all, but I don't like the way their eyes look, seems unnatural. very great pictures for a first time!

Nice posing and composition, and I"m sure coaching. It's not overdone nor sloppy - you've managed to make some set-up shots look natural. You've got a real knack. I'm not a fan of over-saturation but you/they brought together some wonderful colors on our setup choices - that sort of thing can go too drab sometimes. I think I would pull back exposure on #1 and do some selective dodging to bring out the richness.
    Gear - 7D, 5Dii, many lenses , much stuff.

Love #6...the baby shot is adorable too. I would leave in the baby's arms next time...Great Job...you get more relaxed the more you do this.

I never thought of the picnic theme. Well done!
