St. Augustine, FL Lighthouse

Even at my age, this was the first lighthouse that I have ever been in. I've only "seen" three in person (such a sheltered life)

Anyway, here are some pics from the lighthouse, and here is some history of it.

I am pretty positive it is haunted - I watched an episode of Ghost Hunters on the discovery channel that took place there. Sure made me believe! Really love the stairwell shots.

    Howdy Randy,

Love the perspectives you've presented Us with, and I saw that version as well on Ghost Hunters, don't know if I'd want to be there at Midnight:D

More great shots of "another" place on the list:D:D:D
    Take care,

    Hey Craig,

Like I told Natalie, I didn't see that episode on Ghost Hunters, but I stopped by this lighthouse one night, and there was a ghost tour across the street, lanterns and all thumb.gif I'll have to do some more research about it. Maybe I'll discover whom is in my last picture eek7.gif I do know that a lighthouse keeper lost his life while painting the lighthouse. It IS a long way down!

    Randy,

If you go on amazon.com they have a video on demand section, you can buy individual episodes for 1.99..not that bad really. That episode is worth it too. Season 2, Episode 21.

Great shots and I LOVE the spiral staircase! Shooting a lighthouse is one of the things on my bucket list (I also want to drive through a tree in the Redwoods). Thanks for the perspective and the history.

    Some wonderful shots, Randy. thumb.gif

Looks like whatever haunts it, at least part of it made it out the door.

The good thing about those 219 steps up is that, if you're too tired to take 219 steps back down, you can descend them in one, convenient tumble. Mind the stone landings. :D

Very nice works Randy. Like seeing the perspective you found for #1.
That a new one for viewpoint I've seen. The ghost deal... you got a shot
and it was no where near midnight. Spooky enough for me. Nice grab.

That's why the 219 steps down doesn't seem so bad after all rolleyes1.gif
