my seventeen-year old boy - self-taught at golf, he's a five handicapper. he has to give me 9 shots! :uhoh man they grow up fast. today, he had a thrill: see, he plays on a municipal golf course, a nine-holer, really a rough track - today he got to play with his old man, and his old man's old man, at winged foot golf club, site of many us opens, the pga championship, and lots of other events.

i took my 1Ds Mark II and canon 50mm f/1.4 along for the round. click on the pics if you want the exifs.

well, the boy shot 78 and the old man? well, let's just say i had to pass out a few $$ after the round :lol3

enjoy (your kid beating you at golf) photography,

I don;t understand much about golf but I enjoyed viewing these photos.

Your seventeen year old looks confident and sure. His profile reminds me a bit of Prince William--real royalty.

As for the old man--cheer up. This is your legacy :)

Actually, it's a classic tactic for distracting your opponent when you're in danger of losing a bet!
