Wrong number of photos in "Recent photos"

Hi.
I use the "Recent photos" module on my smugmug home page. Whenever I upload a video to the site, the new video is not displayed under the "Recent photos" module (which may, or may not, be as designed).
What is worse, the number of photos displayed in the "Recent photos" module is incorrect after a video has been uploaded. I have recent photos set as 18, but once a video has been uploaded the number of photos displayed is decreased to 17. If i upload another video it goes to 16 and so on (until I upload actual photos again, then it will increase again).
Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?
